Since her childhood, Lorena was fascinated by the colors and textures and she loved to make clothes for her dolls. The opportunities to study design were limited, so she continued with psychology – but she never forgot what were her dreams and her desires, passion and talent has never vanished. She finished the faculty of psychology and she moved to Chicago to attend the International Academy of Design & Technology. While studying business and design, she started to create and sketch designs which later were translated into collection. After that she continued her studies in Los Angeles at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
Lorena Sarbu’s first collection was launched in 2009 and in early 2010 was opened her NY showroom. From the start she knew what she wanted to do – to have her own business and to have her own line. She dreamed about fashion career and she got it. In 2013 the designer relocated her studio from NY to LA.
