The Clothes: Feminine, flowy and ethereal. Some frocks seemed to literally float down the runway. A diaphanous, off-white asymmetrical gown with an abstracted pattern was a particular highlight for me–the way the neckline folded in the back almost looked undone, but in a pretty way. And ever aware of the importance of figure flattery, Herrera tempered each of the billowy gowns with skinny belts cinched at the waist. The palette was a mix of whites, pale blues and greens, bold oranges, and an abstracted print, which is difficult to explain but basically consisted of blocks of bright color and brush strokes or paint splatter on top.
What the Line Sheet Said: “The collection is all about lightness and fluidity…The color palette emphasizes the overall feeling of the collection with soft and subtle shades of pale blue, sea foam, glacier and some touches of orange and yellow.”
The Hair & Makeup: Hair was straight and sleek, with the front strands pulled back in a half-up-half-down ‘do. Face was bare, save for a seriously smoky eye.
The Vibe: Maybe it was just me, but the Lincoln Center crowd seemed noticeably fatigued from NYFW overload.
