Once you get through them, you will get that you were doing it wrong. And this leads to damaged makeup. Do you want to avoid this? Read on and check my useful tips that you can apply straight away!
Avoid the bathroom
Do you store your makeup in the bathroom? After reading this, you won’t do it anymore. The bathroom hs a high level of humidity, which is no good for your makeup. Bacteria likes to spread in a moist environment, so make sure that you keep all of your makeup products away from the bathroom.
Keep your makeup away from direct sunlight
Direct sunlight is harmful to your makeup products. Direct exposure to rays can break down the ingredients and make your expensive products useless. This is very important for liquid and cream products since their formula is very vulnerable to sunlight.
If you have kept your foundation exposed to the sun, you might notice that the formula has started to separate. Store this kind of product in a dry and dark place, such as a drawer in the bedroom.
Proper organization is everything. But first, you have to declutter. What does this mean? SImply go through all of your products and make a “spring cleaning”.
Throw the ones that can’t be used anymore. Check for the expiry date, and throw the old products. But, keep in mind that products can go bad even before their expiry date. This happens when you have kept them in the wrong place, as I already explained about the sunlight and moisture. If you notice a change in color, texture, or smell, it means that it is time to throw them in the bin.
I have already covered this issue in one of my previous posts. In case you want to catch up, this is the link: HOW TO DECLUTTER MAKEUP PRODUCTS
