What I can do however is steal some of their make-up tricks and get all fancy on just about any given day! Foundation for sun-kissed skin?
Yes! It can be done with foundation one tone darker than your natural skin-tone. Just one tone darker, mind you. You don’t want to look like a baked potato and while we all want sun-kissed skin all year round, the trick is to remember to use foundation ONE tone darker for that gentle sun-kissed skin. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is a personal favorite and you should definitely check it out.
Liquid light-reflecting concealer for tired eyes
There are days when you can’t help but look tired. It’s called life. It isn’t without stress and fatigue and sometimes it shows. But the good thing is you can actually disguise tired-looking eyes with liquid light-reflecting concealer. This brightens the under-eye area, bringing life to your eyes.
The beauty of mascara lies at the base of your lashes
Mascara is perfect for widening the eyes and really, who doesn’t like long, sweeping eyelashes? But if you want long lashes, you’ve got to pay more attention to the base of your lashes, as opposed to the tips of your lashes. Start by wiggling the wand back and forth at the base of the lashes. This is what gives the illusion of longer lashes. My personal favorite is ELF Studio’s mineral infused mascara. But you can use just about any mascara you like as long as you remember to focus on the base.
Lip stain that lasts long
In case you’re worried about your lipstick fading over the course of the day and don’t really have the time or inclination to re-touch your lipstick every few hours, you need this! Apply your first coat of lipstick, blot with tissue then dust some powder onto your tissue. Press this onto your lips and follow it with another coat of red lipstick. This lip stain will last much longer.
Run out of tinted moisturiser?
Not to worry. Mix your foundation with your moisturizer and then apply it to your face for sheer, tinted coverage. What I love about this is that not only does the moisturizer hydrate your skin, but by mixing the foundation with the moisturizer you have a perfect tinted moisturizer. Psst…I swear no one will know. It’ll be our little secret!
Brow lift with concealer and foundation
You don’t have to go under the knife to get an instant brow lift! You can instantly lift your brows with concealer. Yes, concealer. Dab the concealer around your eyebrows and blend it with a foundation brush and BANG! You just got a brow-lift without half the trouble or stress or money.
